Pacentro is a Medioeval town in the centre of Abruzzo in Italy.
You can stay in total relax, and taste pure and fresh water, smell pure air and taste tipical cook and watching beautifull landscapes.
Property Description Pacentro, beyond its natural beauties that can be landscapes, historical, cultural and gastronomic events, is characterized from spiritual and folkloristic festivities and recurrences that grew up in the course of the years. The main festivity that is unique in the world for its strange and cruel characteristic, is "Race of the Zingari" where the boys of the country make a contest in coming down from a mountain with bared feet
This race has ancient origins: seems that the nobles once, involved the young people in this contest in order to choose the strongest among them.
This ancient tradition is renewed every year, the first Sunday of September, following the same path and the same rules of years ago.
The summer of Pacentro is rich of events. It is possible to attend parade of some inhabitants dressed with renaissance dresses that simulate nobles and boys who play typical instruments of the Renaissance .
