Ideally situated on the edge of the Sierra Espuna nature Park, this small intimate hotel offers you the opportunity to stay in a tranquil and stunning area.
You can explore the Espuna with the help of the maps provided by the hotel, or relax by the private pool and sunbathing area.
Welcoming you to the Mariposa are Mark and Sam, along with their two children, Tom and Cady.
Situated around a central courtyard, all the rooms are en-suite and have central heating.
The courtyard is the ideal place to enjoy that cool drink, or a delicious meal prepared by Sam in the fully equipped kitchens.
The dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the evening served either in the restaurant or on the restaurant terrace for the many warmer days we have in this area of Spain.
A fully stocked bar nestles in the corner of the dining room together with comfortable sofas. Also here is satellite t.v so you can catch up on the news, but really this is an area you will want to be out and exploring.
The adventurous among you can use the maps and explore the park on foot, mountain bike ( we have bikes for hire) or even by car, with many places to visit. See the "ice houses", "dinosaur footprint" and the now disused isolation hospital.
An experienced guide is available for your walking trips to quieter areas of the park.
The protected area of "Barranco de Gebas" can be viewed from the upper terrace, and is known locally as the "Badlands".
A warm welcome awaits everyone visiting the Mariposa, whether its popping in for a coffee, the delicious menu of the day, or an extended relaxing stay.
The hotel is situated in Gebas, on the C3315, which is the Main Alhama de Murcia to Mula road.

Directions
From Alhama de Murcia follow the C3315 towards Mula, the hotel can be found on the right as you enter the village of Gebas which is approx 9 km from Alhama de Murcia.
