Property Description
We would like to offer our home to friends and guests in a familiar and homey atmosphere.
Magda, Josep and our four children from 3 to 12 years will be expecting you.
We propose you to stay in one of our five comfortable double rooms and enjoy a nice breakfast in incomparable scenery
We put at your disposal a property of 50.000 sqm. With gardens, orchards, bushes and a swimming pool, and more than 400 sqm. In rooms, lounges and dining rooms.
You can also use Can Casadella as a relaxing base camp to visit Barcelona, the Costa Brava or any of the marvellous sites in our surroundings.


THE HOUSE

It is a 3 story manor of more than 1000 sqm. in a 50.000sqm. property

The exact origin or Can Casadella is unknown. There are evidences tat the house existed already at the beginning of the XVI century. From the first times to mid XIX century it was a country house, centre of an important agricultural property based mainly in vineyards and orchards. As centuries went by, the house keeps growing but basically maintains its structure and external look. To this period belongs the interior of the third floor, where the guest rooms are located.
In 1858 the family Casadellà buys the property and implements a great reform in it, that changes the aspect of the house to basically the its current look. They give to the house the aspect of an “Indiano” mansion, this is with details that remind of the houses of the Spanish Caribbean colonies. Most probably the Casadella family were traders that had become wealthy thanks to their business in the American colonies.

In 1918 the Botey family, who belonged to the new powerful Catalan industrial class that rose in the beginning of the XX century, buys the mansion and makes some interesting reforms in the interior, but leaving the external aspect of the house as they found it. In this times all the gardens were redesigned; with romantic little squares and long walkways of olive trees, cypress trees, almond trees, that surround the vineyards, which are kept in production until the seventies.

In 2007 we have done important repairs to improve the facilities of the house, so that our guests can enjoy this centennial building with most comfortableness


THE GARDEN

The house is located in the middle of a 5 hectares property, which include orchards, fields and pine tree bushes. You can walk along the whole property through wide walkways that lead to precious little corners.

An old watering basin in front of the house has been converted into swimming pool. You can relax taking sun baths or at the shadow of centrnnial trees.

From Barcelona (El Prat) airport.
• By train. Train from the airport to Premià de Mar. You must change trains at Sants station. From Premià de Mar you can take a taxi or bus L-14. Estimated time; 45 min. train and 5 min. taxi.
• By car.
o Follow direction Barcelona via Ronda de Dalt (B-20). Follow B-20 direction Besós (30.4km).
o Take C-32 direction Mataró. Take exit 92 Vilassar de Dalt, Premià de Mar, Premià de Dalt, Cabrils (8,5km)
o After paying the highway toll, first Stop sing to the left and then first crossroad to the right (direction Premià de Dalt). Follow Carretera d’Enllaç for 1.5km. until Stop sign. Turn right to la Riera st. Second street to the right, Carrer de la Cisa. At 500 m., number 53, on your left, metallic blind gate with one round big stone at each side of the gate (3km).
Estimated time: 35 minutes.

From Girona-Costa Brava airport.
• By bus. Direct bus to Barcelona-Arc del Triomf train station. In the station take the train to Premià de Mar. Once in Premià de Mar take a taxi or a bus (L-14) up to Can Casadellà.
Estimated time 1h10’ bus, 30’ train and 5’ taxi.
• By car.
o Highway AP-7/E-15 direction Barcelona. Take exit 7 Granollers Est/Mataró (57km).
o Follow C-60 direction Mataró. Take13 towards Barcelona (11km).
o Highway A-2/C-32 directon Barcelona. Take exit 92 Vilassar de Dalt, Premià de Dalt, Premià de Mar, Cabrils (6.5km).
o After paying the highway toll, fisrt Stop sing to the left and then first crossroad to the right (direction Premià de Dalt). Follow Carretera d’Enllaç for 1.5km. until Stop sign. From Barcelona.
• By car.
o Take highway C-31 direction Mataró-Girona. It changes name to C-32 in km. 14.
o Follow C-32 direction Mataró. Take exit 92 Vilassar de Dalt, Premià de Mar, Premià de Dalt, Cabrils (8,5km)
o After paying the highway toll, first Stop sing to the left and then first crossroad to the right (direction Premià de Dalt). Follow Carretera d’Enllaç for 1.5km. until Stop sign. • By train. From any of the following train stations in Barcelona; Sants, Plaça Catalunya, Arc del Trionf o Clot-Aragó take Line 1 direction Mataró-Maçanet and exit in Premià de Mar. From Premià de Mar you can take a taxi or bus L-14. Estimated time; 45 min. train and 5 min. taxi.


From the French border
• By car.
o Highway AP-7/E-15 direction Barcelona. Take exit 7 Granollers Est/Mataró (130km).
o Follow C-60 direction Mataró. Take exit 13 towards Barcelona (11km).
o Highway A-2/C-32 directon Barcelona. Take exit 92 Vilassar de Dalt, Premià de Dalt, Premià de Mar, Cabrils (6.5km).
o After paying the highway toll, fisrt Stop sing to the left and then first crossroad to the right (direction Premià de Dalt). Follow Carretera d’Enllaç for 1.5km. until Stop sign. Near By Attractions
Can Casadellà is located in Premià de Dalt, a small village in Maresme county, at the feet of the la Serralada Litoral natural park and facing the Mediterranean seaside. Despite its proximity to Barcelona and its very good communication with it, the village has kept the atmosphere of a small town.

Barcelona: Premià de Dalt is only 20km and 20 minutes by car or by train from the great cultural and artistic capital of southern Europe, the city of Barcelona. Communication with the exhibition centres in Barcelona is also very convenient by train and subway.

Beach: Only 2km from Can Casadellà you can visit the wide and sandy beaches of the Maresme, ideal for a healthy sun and sea bath. If you prefer the rocky and wild Costa Brava seaside, you can reach it easily by car or train. Only 50km.

Golf: In a perimeter of 10 or 20km. you can find some of the best golf courts in Catalonia, such as Vallromanes or Llavaneres club. You can also practice in a Pitch&Putt at only 5km. from Can Casadellà

Nature: Can Casadella is located at only 5 minutes walk from the Serralada Litoral Natural Park. This park of more than 4000 hectares of Mediterranean vegetation, contains great variety of animal and vegetable species and splendid views to the seaside and to the inner land. You can either hike, mountain bike or horse ride in it.

Racing: At only 30km (30 min. by car) of Can Casadella, there is the Circuit de Catalunya, an international car and motorcycle racing circuit, including formula 1. Lots of interesting competitions are held there.
