The many attractions and its central location make Montagu a sought after tourist town and perfect base from where the countryside can be explored. There are a number of hiking trails in the area as well as opportunities for rock climbers. The hot springs just outside of town are very popular. Horse riding, golf, tennis, bowls also available.
